About the GU68 Engineers Trust
GU68 Engineers Trust was established in 2004 by the 1968 Engineering Graduates of Glasgow University to make awards to students for Engineering projects at the University of Glasgow. Each year, the Trust makes a number of Awards to assist with the costs of projects which are normally expected to demonstrate a contribution to practice or research in one of the branches of engineering.
The Trust currently aims to support projects being carried out by an individual student or a group of students, rather than substantial programmes of research. The Trust is not intended to be a general hardship fund, as other sources of such funding are already available.
An application form will be available on the Apply here page during the application period indicated on the Application Dates page. If you wish to apply on behalf of an organised group, you may do so at any time here with a brief description of what your group does. We will arrange to meet you to discuss the possibility of support.
Applications can only be accepted for projects being carried out predominantly by current registered students of Engineering at the University of Glasgow, including students of Product Design Engineering based at Glasgow School of Art.
Applicants studying at other institutions or studying other subjects are not eligible. If you are unsure, please contact us here.
We are always interested in hearing from you if you are interested in becoming a Trustee. You can find more information, and download and send an enquiry form here
