Interested in becoming a Trustee?

The GU68 Engineers Trust, a Scottish Registered Charity, was formed in 2004 by the 1968 Engineering graduates of the University of Glasgow with the aim of advancing education, in particular the study of engineering at the University of Glasgow, by providing financial support for student projects.

Trustees need not be graduates of the University of Glasgow, although it would be desirable for them to have a connection with the School of Engineering, either as graduates, students or staff, or in some other way. However, we would welcome applications from anyone who supports our activities and aims, with business or other skills or experience which would be useful to the Trust. We would specially welcome female applicants as for so many years Engineering did not attract them as a career.

Trustees would be expected to attend two meetings a year where the awards are considered, either in person or remotely, and a few more informal meetings with students and staff, but need not be based in the Glasgow area. The posts are voluntary and the Trustees bear their own expenses.
